Frequently Asked Questions About Getting Botox in Cancun
1. How long does a Botox session take?
A typical Botox appointment at NYX Clinic takes 30 to 45 minutes, including the initial medical consultation and skin preparation. It is a quick procedure that fits seamlessly into your vacation schedule.
2. Can I go to the beach, swim, or sunbathe after getting Botox?
We recommend avoiding direct, intense sun exposure, extreme heat (saunas, hot tubs), and strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours following your treatment. You can enjoy your beach vacation as long as you wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 50+) and a hat.
3. Is it safe to fly back home after receiving Botox?
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after your treatment before flying back home. While cabin pressure itself doesn't alter the toxin, resting for a day or two allows the product to settle properly and ensures our medical team can assist you before your departure.
4. When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Initial results become visible within 3 to 5 days, with full results appearing around days 10 to 14. Results typically last between 3 and 6 months, depending on individual metabolism.
5. What if I am leaving Cancun before the 7–10 day follow-up?
If your stay in Cancun is shorter than 10 days, our medical team provides full post-care guidance and virtual follow-ups via WhatsApp or email once you return home.
